Reconciliation

Understand each consistency issue, its severity, and the safest correction path.

Reconciliation compares the unit registry with fulfillment lines, pool coverage, and stock snapshots. Run the first check before treating an empty issue list as an all-clear result.

Issue types

Issue Meaning Typical fix
Unserialized fulfillment A shipped line is not fully covered Assign the missing units
Pool coverage gap On-hand stock exceeds Available serialized units Add or import serials
Orphaned assignment A unit points to cancelled or missing context Unassign or return it
Over-assignment More units are attached than the line quantity Unassign extras
Stale assignment A reservation has not shipped for too long Unassign, mark sold, or review

Critical findings can put the wrong serial on a shipment. Warnings identify coverage or grounding gaps. Info findings are aging reservations that need a decision.

Recompute and convergence

Each detector has a stable fingerprint. Recomputing refreshes the same finding instead of creating duplicates, resolves open findings whose condition disappeared, and keeps ignored findings sticky.

Ignore responsibly

Ignore only when the condition is understood and intentionally accepted. Restore an ignored issue when it should return to the working queue.

💡
Fix state through the unit or fulfillment action shown on the issue, then recompute. The reconciliation engine itself does not silently mutate commerce data.
